The games are unplayable at 60 FPS and you experience the games in slow-motion. HereвЂ™s what you should at least have to get the games running smoothly. You may be able to run other games like 2D RPGs such Ar Tennelico, Tales of Symphonia, as well as simpler games like Amplitude, Frequency, or Odin Sphere. You can use an older computer, but may not be able to run graphics-heavy games like Killzone, Black, Final Fantasy X, or Devil May Cry. You will need a PC no older than 2 years old to get the games running at 60 FPS.

That's annoying though, as the different button layouts mean that I can't disconnect and reconnect either controller during a session without it messing up the button configs in any games or emulators I use them in.Make sure you have the latest version! The Sega pad has a button combination to change it between Xinput and Dinput modes, but that Dinput mode is not the same as the mode it's in when it's plugged in at boot.

The Sega pad is detected as a Pro Controller, and while the Hori pad is detected as a HORIPAD S whatever way it's plugged in, it has completely different device and vendor IDs depending on how it's plugged in. If they're already plugged in when the PC boots, they're detected as Direct Input compatible controllers with different button layouts.

If I plug them in while Windows is running they're automatically configured as Xinput compatible controllers. The pads in this case are both Switch compatible, and are an 8-button Sega Mega Drive pad and a Hori Fighting Commander. Two control pads I have behave differently in Windows depending on whether they're plugged in after Windows has booted or whether they're already plugged in when the PC boots. It's not critical but it's a bit annoying. I need to get one of these things for myself, but I'm cheap and too lazy to rearrange my home wifi so that one of these things plays nicely with my current mesh network, even though it's basically as simple as turning off some the antennas. If your current router is Wifi 6 or a mesh router, just set that thing up to be the VPN connection and relay all other traffic to whatever you want to be your main router setup. The I linked to sells routers of various brands flashed with custom firmware so that you can actually use the VPN of your choice in the manner that you want, so you can spoof every device in your house to be in Canada if you wanted access to Canadian Netflix everywhere. I went through a stretch where I bought and returned routers, mostly mesh routers, over supposed VPN compatibility, but they either only allowed you to connect to their own service (eero) or only let you remotely connect to your own PC over any network, which isn't what I wanted or what you're likely looking for either. Save yourself the effort and just buy one off of there. Disabling that makes most of my games run uncapped, but not anything I'm playing on Gamepass since that's not an option. It's whatever Windows is doing for it's 'Fullscreen Optimizations' that's mucking with things. So that's interesting.Д®DIT: Okay, I think I figured it out. It similarly goes to 60Hz if I turn off GSync. It says that it's at '2560x1440, 144Hz G-SYNC Mode' normally, but then switches to '2560x1440, 60Hz G-SYNC Mode' when I go into a game that has the problem. The OSD was something I didn't think of, thanks. (Well, fast vsync did make the game run uncapped, but it's real juttery as you'd expect from fast sync.)

The Variable Refresh Rate option in Windows' settings also hasn't changed anything. I've also tried different vsync settings like fast vsync and triple buffering, disabling GSync, and power management modes.
